Amanda Sheppard

Amanda Sheppard

Amanda joined Cancer Care Ontario as Scientist for the Aboriginal Cancer Control Unit in September 2016. She holds a BSc in Biology and Anthropology from Trent University, an MSc in Epidemiology, a PhD in Medical Health Research, and has completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Toronto. Elevating the health and wellbeing within Indigenous populations has been a focus of Dr. Sheppard’s research interests. Much of her work has been concentrated on maternal and child health initiatives, and cancer control. Amanda is mother to two little girls, Madeleine and Juliette.
