UPDATE: APPLICATION CLOSED

Due to overwhelming response - we have now reached our budget maximum and will be notifying successful applicants in the coming days. Miigwetch for your patience.

---------------------------------------------------------------

In the past couple of weeks, we know that many of your lives have changed abruptly. Working from home, spending more time alone, taking care of family, and worrying about what the future holds.

Ontario’s Indigenous Mentorship Network wants you to know that your well-being is at the top of our minds. As such, we have put a one-time COVID-19 Indigenous Student Support Fund in place to support you with the unanticipated costs you have incurred during this stressful time. We can offer one-time awards, up to $500. Eligible costs include the following: health/ medical/ ceremonial; travel; living expenses; cultural and/or wellness supports and activities; academic; home office needs/supplies; family or child care supports.

If you have any questions about the COVID-19 Indigenous Student Support Fund, please contact IMN Coordinator, Katie Big-Canoe.

Applications will be accepted and reviewed on an on-going basis until we have reached our budget maximum, or the public health emergency for Ontario has ended. Our goal is to award this support as quickly as possible. Aside from the COVID-19 Indigenous Student Support Fund, Ontario’s Indigenous Mentorship Network is making plans to host virtual gatherings that will provide continued support and friendship during these challenging times. Please continue to practice physical distancing, but be sure check in on one another often to keep spirits high. We miss you all and look forward to seeing you soon!
